- １ 任命権者は、定年退職者等又は自衛隊法 による定年退職者等を、従前の勤務実績等に基づく選考により、一年を超えない範囲内で任期を定め、短時間勤務の官職（当該官職を占める職員の一週間当たりの通常の勤務時間が、常時勤務を要する官職でその職務が当該短時間勤務の官職と同種のものを占める職員の一週間当たりの通常の勤務時間に比し短い時間であるものをいう。第三項において同じ。）に採用することができる。
