本日、国際刑事裁判所設置規定（ローマ規定）および、国際刑事裁判所（ICC）に対する協力などに関する法律案が、参議院本会議で可決・承認され、日本のICC加入が決定された。アムネスティ・インターナショナルは、ジェノサイドや人道に対する罪、戦争犯罪などの重大な人権侵害の免責と闘う国際的な枠組みを強化する大きな一歩として、今回の決定を歓迎する。
Following the adoption at the House of Councillors of cooperating legislation for International Criminal Court （ICC）, corresponding the Rome Statute for the establishment of the ICC, Amnesty International Japan welcomes today's decision taken by the Japanese Diet （Parliament） as an important step toward the fight against impunity of the worst crimes under international law, such as genocides, crimes against humanity and war crimes.〔【出典】アムネスティ発表国際ニュース（2007年4月27日） 〕
