- Crazy Horse〔米のネイティブ・インディアン。オグララ・スー族の族長・戦士・英雄（1843-77）。米大統領もサインした協定でスー族の聖地と認められたブラック・ヒル（Paha Sapa）に豊富な鉱石（金）があり、それを白人が侵略。クレージー・ホースはインディアン居住地への強制移住を拒否。白人軍隊はパウダー川のスー族キャンプを襲撃（1876年3月17日）。しかしクレージー・ホースはローズバッド川でクルック将軍George Crookに勝利（6月17日）。さらに、座る牡牛酋長Sitting Bull and Gallとともに、カスター将軍George Armstrong CusterをLittle Bighornで破る（6月25日）。しかしマイルズ将軍Nelson Milesの追撃を受け（1877年1月）、飢餓状態で逃れる。5月、1000人の仲間とともにRed Cloud局で降伏。同年9月6日ネブラスカRobinsonとりでで、クレージー・ホースは逃亡を図り背中から撃たれ死亡（34歳）。〕
